Who we are

The Food Storage Planner is an EZ Prepping service that helps households calculate food and water targets and manage inventory, rotation, and shopping. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to ezprepping.info@gmail.com.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the planner:

• Account information: your email address and, when you use a provider such as Google, the name and profile image that provider shares with us.
• Household planning information: details you enter about household members, pets, planning periods, food preferences, cooking conditions, water needs, and other planning assumptions.
• Inventory and shopping information: item names, quantities, nutrition and package details, barcodes, storage locations, dates, prices, notes, shopping entries, and rotation activity.
• Technical and usage information: browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, page activity, performance, and error information. Google Analytics may help us understand how the service is used.
• Support information: information you provide when you contact us or report a problem.

How we use information

• Calculate and save household food and water targets.
• Provide inventory, rotation, shopping, budget, and household collaboration features.
• Keep your account available across supported devices and protect it from misuse.
• Respond to support requests, diagnose errors, and improve usability and reliability.
• Send required account messages, such as email confirmation or security notices.

We do not sell personal information or household inventory data.

Services that help operate the planner

We use service providers to run the planner. These may include Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google for sign-in and analytics, managed web hosting and security providers, and product-information sources such as Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies and local storage

The planner uses browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, retain guest-plan progress, remember preferences, protect account flows, and measure use of the service. Browser controls may let you block some storage, but doing so can prevent account or planner features from working correctly.

Household and children’s information

The service is intended for adults managing a household plan. An adult may enter limited details about children or other household members to calculate household needs. Children should not create their own accounts or submit information directly. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can review and remove it.

How long information is kept

We keep account and household information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Deleted information may remain briefly in protected backups before it is removed through normal backup cycles.

Your choices

You can update many records in the planner, download a copy of household data from Settings, or request account and household deletion by emailing ezprepping.info@gmail.com. You may also use browser controls or Google’s settings to manage analytics and connected-account permissions.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access and database access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a secure account and do not enter sensitive information the planner does not request.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the planner changes. The date at the top will show the latest revision, and material changes may be highlighted in the service. Questions can be sent to ezprepping.info@gmail.com.
